Thanks. I always thought the hood was a little flaky on my 1026R. Where did you find this information. I looked online and at JD.com but was unable to find anything.

 

Solution was dated 7/3, released on 7/5 and showed up today on the dealer network. As a consumer you wont see these and many other solutions unless they are of a safety nature or what they refer to as maintenance mandatory. If its a major deal, Deere will mail a letter to the end user and inform them to contact the dealer. Kind of like a recall on an automobile.
If you have a problem, ask your dealer about it. If they are unaware of the solution they can look it up. If they are still brain dead, PM me and I'll give you the solution number.

So will the dealer fix this under warranty, or is it a nonessential fix that consumer has to pay?

I haven't noticed any problems with my hood or latch, and mine is a 2011 1023......

 

Then there isnt a problem. No fix if no problem. I see no reason why this wouldnt be covered under warranty if the problem is present.

 

I have noticed my hood unlatched a couple of times. I just thought I forgot to make sure it was latched after closing it.

 

Does anyone have a picture of what this support looks like?
